New Monarch Holidays Website

Monarch Airlines, Cosmos, and somewhere2stay are all part of the same travel group. Because the Monarch website was getting so much web traffic, the company decided to rebrand Cosmos as Monarch Holidays and somewhere2stay as Monarch Hotels. The idea was that in doing this, Monarch would be able to capitalise on this web traffic by cross-selling other travel products.

The first step was to rebrand the s2s website into the Monarch Hotels website. After this phase was successfully completed, work began on transforming the Cosmos Holidays website into the new Monarch Holidays site. This was a far bigger task than the hotels phase with over two hundred pages of graphic and CSS changes made. In rebranding the website we took the opportunity to upgrade the site’s HTML and CSS files to make them more efficient and standards compliant.

The homepages for different products were also enhanced -  the ‘Beach Holidays’, ‘Villa Holidays’, ‘Lapland’ and the ‘Distant Dreams’ homepages now all include interactive maps that link through to enhanced ‘Destination Guides’ full of useful information, travel tips and photography.

Promotional banners and graphical pods were added to each key landing page, giving Monarch the ability to manage commercial campaigns at a more targeted level.

Digital Marmalade, working alongside the Cosmos IT team, completed this work in just six weeks…pretty impressive if we do say so ourselves ;o).
