Company Team-building weekend in Carmarthen South Wales

The staff at Digital Marmalade have just returned (a little tired and sore) from an action packed weekend in Carmarthen, South Wales.

The weekend began with an early morning go-karting championship – after numerous laps David was crowned champion, with Marcus in 2nd position and Jeremy in a controversial 3rd spot. Although Jeremy may have to share this honour with Tony who is adamant that he in fact finished third…

Next up was clay pigeon shooting. We were challenged to hit first one, then two simultaneous clays. Marie was lucky to be involved at all after this event as she chose to ignore the advice of the experienced guide and shoot the floor instead of the clay. No more guns for you! After this event, David maintained his lead after scoring 28 out of a possible 30.

The next day began with a ride on quad bikes across a hilly, woody course. Both Dean and Marie had to retire early on this event because of shoulder injury and fear respectively. After lunch, the team headed over for the final event of the weekend - rock climbing and abseiling. Working in teams, we all safely climbed up the hillside and then abseiled down. Marcus didn’t let his fear of heights stop him scaling the heights either so well done.

All in all, it was a great weekend. Although we were all a little sick of David winning everything by the end!
